Backspace

This past weekend, I went to go eat at Backspace, a nicer pizza restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy, due to the small dimensions of the actual layout of the restaurant, only having about five small table and being able to seat about ten at the bar. The restaurant has a nice vibe, you can hear the mumble of small chit chat from the surrounding customers. Backspace is dimly lit, having only a few candles on the walls and on the shelves. As for their food, they offer a seasonal menu. Also, all of their food is cooked in their brick oven that can heat up to one-thousand degrees. When we went, they were in their transition period from fall to winter. For our appetizer, we ordered roasted brussel sprouts with pancetta and pecorino romano. We loved them so much, we asked how they prepared them and all they had to do was stick them in their nine-hundred degree brick oven for about one-hundred and twenty seconds. I also ordered a salad with farm greens, giardiniera, red onion, herbs, and pecorino romano. It was delicious. For out entree, we split a pizza with peperoni americano, picante salame, tomato, mozzarella, and basil. All in all, I would recommend Backspace to anyone. The only thing to be careful about though is the smallness of the restaurant, so reservations are mandatory.
