Lick: the Best Ice Cream Shop in Town

Most ice cream shops serve those boring old flavors: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry. I got bored of those pretty quickly. But Lick, a recently opened ice cream shop, serves gourmet ice cream. Their flavors include honey and thyme, grapefruit ginger, cilantro lime, goat’s cheese, and lemon lavender. Some of the more exotic flavors include sweet potato and roasted bit with mint. They buy from local producers and use only organic milk and cream. They also make their waffle cones from scratch. My favorite flavor of theirs is the grapefruit ginger, it is by far the best ice cream I have had in a very long time. I also had the cilantro lime, which was very refreshing, and on a hot summer day it would be awesome.  I wanted to try the roasted beet but I had already had 2 scoops of ice cream and I couldn’t handle anymore. Another flavor to mention was the too hot chocolate. What surprised me about this was that it actually tasted like hot chocolate.  I don’t know what it was but this ice cream tasted exactly like hot chocolate, it was like eating frozen hot chocolate. This is located on 2032 S. Lamar and I would definitely  drive to get some ice cream from this place.
